Michael Kim Associates, LLC (MKA) is an award-winning architectural design firm.  Since its inception in 2004, MKA has been at the forefront of residential design in all forms.  Their projects have included hundreds of single-family and multifamily homes all over New England.  Exhibiting a remarkable range of styles, their work is renowned for their responsiveness to their sites and the for the thoughtful layouts of their designs.

MKA was named to the final Metropolitan Home “Design 100”, showcasing the top one hundred projects in the history of that publication.  MKA’s work has been featured in multiple publications including the Boston Globe Magazine, New England Home, Boston Magazine, Perspective Magazine, Their work has earned numerous awards, as ‘Best of Boston’, ‘PRISM’ Awards, Perspective Prize and IFDA New England Design, Historic Newton and has been featured on the television programs “Dream House” and “This Old House”.

Mr. Kim previously served as visiting professor of Architecture at Andrews University, an instructor and thesis faculty member at the Boston Architectural College, and has been frequent guest critic at institutions such as M.I.T., his alma mater, MassArt, Wentworth, + Univ. of ME.

Michael Kim has served on the Board of Directors of the Builders Association of Greater Boston (BAGB), chaired the MA Designer Selection Board and currently serves as the Governor’s Appointee on the Martha’s Vineyard Commission.
